M&M Jones

I am still amazed when I find some new Indy merchandise that I have never heard of and that I have never imagined. My latest discovery in the Indyverse: M&M's go well with Indiana Jones.

Time for a tea or a coffee? There's an M&M Indiana Jones mug available with a quite nice comic design of Red as Indy.

Or how about the 1:24 diecast version of an M&M's/Indiana Jones styled Nascar?

If adventure needs a snack, M&M's might be a good idea.

The hat is back ... so it seems

When I was walking through a shopping district the other day a certain hat caught my eye when I passed a millinery:

I have not known that a German manufacturer had bought a license to sell a fedora. The hat does not look bad, from what I saw it resembles the Disney fedora I bought in Tokyo DisneySea six or seven years ago (incl. the "Indiana Jones" pin on the ribbon. The companies name is "Mayser", their website is http://www.mayser-kopfbedeckungen.de/ for head-wear (the sell other stuff also). Here is a direct link to their Indy section. There you can also find their brochure and advertising material as PDFs for download.

LEGO Indy 2009

Hurray, I finally got my collection of regular LEGO sets from 2008 together. Guess I will have some LEGO puzzling to do this xmas :-)

Need an overview for all available sets? > QuickGuide: LEGO
Let's take an outlook for future LEGO sets coming in 2009. So far I saw pictures of two new sets coming early 2009:

LEGO set 7682 Shanghai Chase from Temple of Doom

LEGO BrickMaster Exclusive

Long time, no post. But I am back with interesting and odd info on Indy goodies.

One of the harder to get LEGO sets this year is the BrickMaster Jungle Cruiser exclusive set 20004 featuring Indy in a Jeep.

If you don't have access to those exclusive sets there is another way to get this gem into your collection: Shop the 83 pieces separately and build your own! Here is a good post with a part list and and rather good plans (mostly in German but the parts list is in English): http://www.1000steine.com/forum2/forum_entry.php?id=159773

My room lights have still not arrived (I had to mail a bulk of the stuff as I had too much luggage already).
But here is a good scan I found on a website. I really hope mine arrive soon :)

odd Hasbro variation

The other day I stumbled over some odd variations while shopping for some 3 3/4" Hasbro toys. I found two differently packed Mutt figures. The package is identical except for the position of Mutt. Same text and numbers. The figure itself should be identical except that the right one is better painted and the colors are a bit different.

Addon: I just added a Hasbro toy QuickGuide. That's a helpful reference sheet for your shopping trips.

time for a Burger King

I finally found time to hit a Burger King (on my way to watch [REC], a new Spanish horror film). Got some luck, they still had all eight toys available. I got them a all at once, better save than sorry.

Merlin’s Indiana Jones sticker collection

Welcome to the world of collectible stickers. I somehow thought collecting stickers is a long gone hobby from my childhood. I was wrong. Merlin Stickers (part of Topps) has released an Indiana Jones sticker collection:
For the collection you get a 48 pages album (for 3.- Euros) and get to buy sticker packs with 6 random stickers (0,50 Euros per pack). There are 240 different stickers to get. Most stickers have a size of 5 x 8.5 cm, fewer are 6 x 8.5 cm. Even fewer are 6 x 8.5 cm printed on metallic foil. Interesting bit: The sticker packs are in English, so I guess they sell the same packs all over Europe, while the album is in German (so I guess they made versions for all countries where they sell it). Another interesting bit: The story (flavor text) told in the album is a cut down version of the film. They do neither tell about the relationship between Indy and Mutt nor about the ending (they just enter the temple and then everything gets destroyed in a cyclone.

If you collect these stickers and want to trade some, please contact me!
